An interesting look at the sources of copay assistance for privately insured patients (it’s not just manufacturers!). Also cited, nearly 80% of all alternative copay assistance is applied to just 5-6% of products. Concentration like this is perhaps unsurprising, but it is a much worse situation for Medicare patients to overcome since they are not allowed to participate in these programs.
